Inauguration Day Rosary Novena

Thanks to Jean at “Catholic Fire” for spreading the word about a just-begun novena for the intention of the conversion of Obama and other people opposed to pro-life views.

Here is her link and the one she references:

Here is a quick description of the Rosary Novena for Life:

Our First Battle

“The first initiative of Rosaries for Life is going to be the Inauguration Day Rosary Novena. This Novena is going to last for 72 days – it consists of 4 sets of mysteries 9 times for the intentions, followed by 4 sets of mysteries 9 times in thanksgiving = 72 days of praying 5 decades). The novena will begin on November 10th, the feast of St. Leo the Great (as well as the first day of the USCCB meeting) and end on January 20th, Inauguration Day. If you missed the beginning of the novena, please join us anyway, and pledge either “a partial novena” until January 20th or a full 72-day novena to end sometime after Inauguration Day.”

Please go to the novena site for more details. And don’t forget to include the intentions in your daily rosary! (If you don’t already pray the rosary daily, this would be a wonderful time to begin!!!!)

Here is today’s “Prayer of the Day” in conjunction with the novena:

“Day 2 of the Novena: Luminous Mysteries            Rosaries Pledged: 15002

Prayer of The Day:

St. Martin, you traded in the implements of earthly warfare for a life of spiritual warfare.  Intercede for us, that we may change our society into a culture of peace and life.  Help us to realize that our enemies are not flesh and blood, but the spiritual hosts of wickedness.

On this Veterans’ Day, we also ask the intercession of all of the fallen soldiers of the United States.  We thank you for your sacrifice, and beg your intercession for our country, that it may again attain to its former greatness, and be fully worthy of the sacrifices you made.  Lord Jesus, through the intercession of Our Lady, we pray for all of our soldiers who are still being purified.  Bring them, and all souls, to Heaven!”

Finally, here is a note about how to join at anytime after the start day of Nov 10th:

“For all those joining us late, we encourage you to sign up and either pray the remaining 71 days, catch up with multiple rosaries per day, or start an alternate novena, which would begin on November 15, and end on January 25th, the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul.”

Again, the Web site is “Dave” states that “Kat” has helped him put it together in a very short time, so check back frequently for updates as they improve and expand the site.
