40 Days’ HOPE Event

Maybe you’ll want to participate in the special event sponsored by David Bereit and the “40 Days for Life” team on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 9 pm Eastern time. Please go to the Web site for details and registration:

And while you’re there, read the recap of success stories from this Fall’s prayer campaign. Here is an excerpt of some of the summary:

  • More than 76,000 believers joined together in an historic display of Christian unity, praying and fasting for an end to abortion, and conducting peaceful 40-day prayer vigils outside Planned Parenthood centers and abortion facilities
  • Reports from around the country documented 614 lives spared from abortion — and those are just the ones we know about
  • Eight abortion workers quit their jobs and walked away from the abortion industry
  • Numerous abortion facilities cut back their days and hours of operation during the campaign, and another abortion facility announced on day 38 of this fall’s campaign that it was closing its doors for good
  • Hundreds of women and men have been spared from the tragic effects of abortion, including a lifetime of regrets

Elsewhere on the site, you can read details of those stories in the blog.

“40 Days for Life” is a clear example of a grassroots movement that has a significant impact. Let’s keep it in mind as encouragement as we band together to defeat the proposed “Freedom of Choice Act” (FOCA) so that Congress does not have a chance to send that legislation to the future President’s desk. The success of the “40 Days for Life” campaign is rooted in PRAYER — the same must be true in all that we do regarding FOCA.
